Work Site Wellness for Supervisors consists of two sessions, targeted to all AgriLife supervisors.  Each session is a stand alone, separate event; you may register for one or both programs.

Communicating with Employees in Crisis
8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Facilitator:  Dr. Anna Satterfield

This workshop highlights common types of employee crises, identifies resources for supervisors to seek assistance and teaches them communication strategies helpful when speaking with employees who are experiencing a crisis. It will include the QPR Suicide Intervention component.

Prevention of Workplace Violence
1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Facilitator:    Dr. Anna Satterfield

This workshop reviews types of workplace violence, warning signs of problem employees, processes of prevention, intervention, and crisis response and ways to diffuse potentially violent situations.

About the Facilitator:  Dr. Anna Satterfield is the Associate Director in Human Resources at Texas A&M University-College Station, overseeing the Employee Assistance Program and Employee Relations. She has a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, an M.S. in Community Counseling, and a B.A. in Psychology, all from Oklahoma State University. In addition to previously teaching counseling and educational classes at both the graduate and undergraduate level, Dr. Satterfield has more than 10 years' experience within the TAMU System and 20 years of experience providing counseling services in a variety of settings. She has worked with violence risk-assessment issues for the last 8 years and as a member of Texas A&M's Special Situations Team regularly provides consultation regarding these cases.
