The Prospective Winegrape Grower Workshop was created by the Texas AgriLife Extension Viticulture team for those considering planting a commercial vineyard. The Prospective Winegrape Grower Workshop is a one-day workshop provides an OVERVIEW of the unique topics that need to be addressed before planting begins. This program WILL NOT teach you  how to grow grapes, but  will help you to answer this question: Is grape growing the "right" agriculture business for you?

The topics include:

  • necessary expertise
  • site considerations
  • risk management
  • labor requirements
  • vineyard costs

For more information about this workshop, please contact Penny Adams at 830-997-7047 or by email.
