This course is designed for OSSF Designated Representatives, Site Evaluators, and Installers requiring CEU hours to satisfy TCEQ licensing requirements. It is a basic introduction to soil and site evaluation and is approved for 8 CEU's by the TCEQ. Dr. John Jacob, the lead Extension Specialist in the State of Texas for soil and site evaluation on-site septic systems, developed the course.
Once you have registered for the course, Texas AgriLife Extension Conference Services will email you a confirmation of your registration, a receipt and the course enrollment key. The course will be delivered through Extension Online Courses located at http://campus.extension.org. Students will need to create an account at this site before class begins. When you complete the course, please notify Rhonda Meyer (rhondameyer@tamu.edu). You may refer back to the web site http://www.urban-nature.org/OSSF.htm for further information regarding a course outline, procedures, and criteria for course completion.
If you have taken this course before, you must wait a full year from the completion date to take the course again. Once you register, you have 12 months to complete the course. Your results will be sent to TCEQ after you have completed the 5 section tests and the final with a score of 100%. At the end of each month, Rhonda Meyer will then electronically file successful course completions directly to TCEQ.
